| Logistics
Logistics maintains everything that is stored in the truck. Outside of clinic, this committee must make sure the truck is equipped with medication, hygiene kits, condoms, socks, blankets, etc and in sufficient amount. At clinic, members of the logistics team function as “pharmacists” as they work to dispense medication if not all odds and ends that are called and asked for during the evening on behalf of the clients. Members of logistics must work closely with database, grant writing, and the coordinators to ensure the appropriate supplies and medications are ordered. |

| Referrals
The Referrals Committee serves as a liaison between clients and organizations that are able to provide them with resources that are unavailable at Mobile Clinic. The committee will create a compilation of homeless shelters, clinics, food services, employment opportunities and case management organizations in the greater Los Angeles Area. Site visits are essential because they will verify whether the organizations will actually help our clients. The compilation will be used by the committee when at clinic to ensure that every client is referred to an organization that will assist them to the greatest degree. The Referrals Committee is a great opportunity to learn about the various resources available to the homeless and to network with others beyond the clinic atmosphere. |

| Database
The Database committee is involved in keeping consolidation forms from Mobile Clinic, Common Ground and all other clinics organized and at hand. We are involved in creating, updating and renovating the database through different programs such as Excel, Access etc. We also keep Mobile Clinic running by periodically analyzing data from the database making it available to the appropriate committee such as grantwriting etc. Database committee is relatively new, so we are always looking to make changes and improvements with the system thus new ideas are encouraged and welcome. Finally, keeping track of Mobile Clinic clientele and helping out with the ordering supplies is another important function of the Database committee. Overall, the Database committee is for those who enjoy analyzing data, record keeping and preferably have some prior experience with making and analyzing bar graphs, pie charts etc. Studying how we can improve UCLA Mobile Clinic and our services to our clients begins with database. |

| Grantwriting
The grantwriting committee is concerned with securing the funding needs of MCP through sponsorship. Members from this committee will work on submitting grants such as CAC, CS Mini Fund and SOOF which are campus affiliated. The Grant Writing Committee shall also search for independent grants that UCLA Mobile Clinic Project qualifies for. |

| Health Education
The Health Education Committee seeks to increase awareness and understanding of diseases and other issues that affect the homeless. By researching and presenting these topics to classmates, as well as clients, diseases, drugs, and other conditions can be more easily understood, dealt with or prevented. The committee will focus on creating informational pamphlets, leading discussion groups about health topics, and giving presentations to classrooms of peers or high school students. The Health Education Committee is always looking for new ways to help others understand health related topics, and the hard work in a group setting is essential to the success of the committee. |

| Community Outreach/PR
Community Outreach is a new committee created to meet the Mobile Clinic Project's changing and dynamic needs. Over the past few years, legislation on various levels have forced homeless people to relocate and make themselves "invisible" to the public eye. Such actions create a shuffling of homeless between regions and threaten service providers' links within their community. The Community Outreach committee aims to find potential clients and promote the services available through our project. The committee will also head Mobile Clinic's PR and promotional endeavors. |

| Mental Health Project
While only four percent of the general U.S. population has a serious mental illness, at least twenty percent of people who are homeless are chronically mentally ill. Mental health care has been identified as an unmet need for the population the Mobile Clinic aims to serve. The Mobile Clinic Mental Health Project aims to help patients access mental health services and works to educate both patients and volunteers about mental illness in underserved populations. |
