We are in the process of expanding clinical services to Step Up on
Second in Santa Monica. Step Up on Second serves dual diagnosed
mentally ill homeless individuals. They work not only to reintegrate
individuals into society, but also to offer support to families of
affected individuals and increase community knowledge of mental
illness. They offer a variety of services from daily meals to support
groups, psychotherapy, housing and job training. We currently lead a
weekly healthy living group, led by the Health Education
Committee, at Step-Up on Second. These hour seminars encourage an open exchange of information between the UCLA student moderators and the members of the group. |
